Varsity Swimming · Hailey Galbraith Named Forsyth County Girls Swimmer of the Year

Congratulations to Hailey Galbraith who was named the Forsyth County Girls Swimmer of the Year. Hailey won the 7A state title in the 50 yard freestyle and finished runner-up in the 100 yard butterfly. She also set the County records in both of those events and broke her existing school records. Hailey also anchored the girls 200 yard free relay, which also set a new school record this year. This award adds to her accolades this year as earlier this month she was named to the GHSSCA All-State 1st team.

Hailey’s older brother, Hunter Galbraith, joined her on the All Forsyth County Team putting the cherry on top of a wonderful high school career for the senior. Hunter leaves North as a member of all 3 school record relays and was the lead-off leg of the 200 yard free relay that won the state title back in 2017.

Also, joining the Galbraith duo on the All Forsyth County Team is Alex Gonzalez. Alex finished 6th in both the 200 yard freestyle and 100 yard backstroke at the GHSA State Championship and broke his existing school record in the 100 yard backstroke. Earlier this month Alex was named to the GHSSCA All-State 3rd team.
