The North Forsyth Raiders went to the locker room at halftime, trailing Brookwood 34-9. North erased the 25-point deficit including two late touchdowns to stun the Broncos, 44-41.
Quarterback Brady Meitz scored on a one-yard plunge with 3:35 left to cut the Brookwood lead to 41-36. North was then able to recover an onside kick and complete the comeback on a Meitz-to-Patrick Corrigan touchdown pass with just over a minute to play in the fourth. North then held on for the final 70 seconds, the game ending on a batted ball in the endzone that fell harmlessly incomplete.
Brady Meitz threw for five touchdowns (four to Nicky Dalmolin) and ran for a sixth on the quarterback sneak.
With the win, North Forsyth will head to McEachern, a 45-29 winner over North Paulding, next Friday night at 7:30 PM.
