The Lady Raiders finished 2nd just ahead of Forsyth Central and behind Denmark at a tri-meet on Saturday afternoon. The Lady Raiders grabbed 2nd in the 200 medley relay and picked up a win by over 4 seconds in the 200 free relay. The lone individual win for the Lady Raiders came from freshman Julia Wickman in the 200 freestyle, she also led the team in scoring with 13 points.
As for the men, Junior Will Riley led the team in scoring with 13 points and picked up a win in the 100 freestyle. He also anchored in the 200 free relay that took the win by over 3 seconds. The Raiders also added two more members to the state team via relays, Junior Caden Goudy (200 free relay) & Sophomore Ethan Elzey (400 free relay).
This was the final tune-up meet before the 2020 Forsyth County Championship that will take place this Saturday (1/25) at the Cumming Aquatic Center. Prelims will start at 9:00 am, diving at 1:00 pm, and finals at 4:00 pm. North will also honor it’s seniors after prelims.
