Spring National Signing Day

Wrestling: Lyerly Wins State Championship!

Congratulations to sophomore Dylan Lyerly for winning the state wrestling championship in the 220-pound weight class in Macon, GA on Saturday. Lyerly defeated Thomas Dossett from Lambert, 5-3, in overtime. It was the third meeting between the two with Lyerly remaining undefeated against his rival. Way to go, Dylan!

Wrestling: Nine qualify for Traditional State tournament

The following wrestlers qualified for the GHSA Traditional State Wrestling Championships this weekend:   Sophia Eglian Michael Gryder Cale Bissell Tate Bissell Bentley Wheeler Tristan Graham Victor Reyes Mason Butcher Dylan Lyerly.  They will compete in the State Championship Tournament February 13th – 15th at the Macon Centreplex.  For details on the state tournament, click here. Wrestling: Jarrard honored for 500th win

Over the Christmas break, Head Wrestling Coach Travis Jarrard was honored for winning his 500th career match earlier in the season.  Please see this article, courtesy of the Forsyth County News, regarding the feat.  

Wrestling: Eglian and Watkins are State Champions

Congratulations to North Forsyth wrestlers Sophia Eglian and Paul Watkins for each winning individual state championships this past weekend in Macon, GA.  Eglian wrapped things up quickly with a first-period pin, and Watkins made Raider Nation sweat it out with a 1-0 decision. Way to go, Raider Wrestling!

Wrestling: Eglian and Watkins Advance to State Finals

Sophia Eglian won her State semifinal match today with a 1st-period pin and advances to tomorrow’s state championship in Macon.  Eglian will be joined by Paul Watkins, a 9-8 winner today in his semifinal matchup, as he too will attempt to become a state champion.  Good luck to our Raider wrestlers!

Wrestling: Eight Moving On To State, Watkins & Eglian Win Sectionals

The North Forsyth Wresting Team will be very well represented at the state tournament in Macon as eight wrestlers made it through Sectionals to advance.  Sophia Eglian and Paul Watkins both won championships as well.  Tate Bissell also notched his 100th career win at state sectionals.

North Forsyth Celebrates Fall Signing Day

Six Raider athletes signed letters of intent to become student athletes at the college level on Wednesday morning.  Congratulations these fine young men and women.
